Start summer weekends right with free yoga overlooking the Mystic River. Yoga in the Park takes place every Saturday at 9 a.m. from May through September in DCR’s Baxter Park. Advance registration is required for this event and will be available online each week. All you need is your yoga mat. Online registration for Saturday classes will be available here starting at noon each preceding Friday. Registration is required. Day of registration will be available only if space permits.

The Boston Arts Festival will take place Saturday, September 10 from 11am – 6:00 pm, (raindate: September 11) at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. This annual event is designed to showcase the visual and performing arts in Boston. Affectionately dubbed (ähts), it began in 2003 by Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the City of Boston’s Office of Arts, Tourism and Special Events with the mission of promoting the Open Studios happening throughout the Fall in Boston’s neighborhoods.
